Teal / Chevron Challenge

I have tried and failed in the past on creating Chevron nails.  Well all that has changed as I was challenged by New Crumpets Nail Tarts.  This week for my challenge was the color teal and chevron design.  I was like "ugh, chevrons...really???" my least favorite thing to do.  So as I hemmed and hawed over it like a 2 year old throwing a tantrum, I sat my badonkabutt down and started looking through all my goodies.  I tried several attempts and just did not like the results of using 2 colors.  Soooo I thought this needs some black and pizazz.  I prepped my nail with Covergirl Constant Caribbean polish, pulled out my Uber Chic mat, my Konad m101 plate, then I used Mundo de Unas Aqua stamping polish on the stamping plate by striping 2 rows of the aqua with a black stripe down the middle and walla, came up with this awesome creation.  I think for me what really hit the nail and as we all know it, was when I put that top coat on and woohoo!!!...my design popped came to life.  My favorite part of this design is how the teal looks metallic.  Now I'm a believer that something a person dreads to do can turn into something awesome.  My cute little pinky was painted with a regular black polish topped with a coat of Sally Hansen Triple Shine #370 Hypnautical.

Enjoy my friends!
